Emma's Story

Why cold water changed everything

Emma discovered cold water therapy during a period when she needed it most. As a Certified Cold Water Therapy Coach, she now brings this practice to the East End Yogi community β€” not as a trend or a challenge, but as a genuinely transformative tool for mental and physical wellbeing.

Every session starts with guided breathwork to prepare your nervous system, making the cold water immersion feel accessible and manageable β€” even if you've never done anything like this before. Emma guides you every step of the way, at your own pace.

This is not about toughing it out. It's about learning to work with your nervous system, finding calm under pressure, and discovering a resilience you didn't know you had.

How a session works

What to expect

Step 01

Breathwork

We begin with guided breathing techniques β€” this is what makes the cold water accessible and safe. Never skipped.

Step 02

Guided immersion

Emma guides you into the cold water at your own pace. There is no pressure to stay in longer than feels right for you.

Step 03

Integration

We close with time to warm up, share and ground back. This part matters as much as the dip itself.

What to bring

  • Swimwear or clothing you can get wet in
  • Warm, dry clothes and a towel for afterwards
  • Warm drink in a flask β€” very welcome post-dip
  • Open mind and willingness to try
